This role sits at the intersection of people and public presence. You’ll support hiring, onboarding, communication, and team coordination while helping shape Thrive’s voice across social media, events, networking, and community outreach.
You don’t need to be a marketing expert. You just need to communicate clearly, stay organized, and enjoy helping people move in the same direction.
Create job postings, applicant communication, and interview scheduling
Support onboarding and maintain employee records
Coordinate internal communication and team updates
Keep Thrive’s social media active and mission‑aligned
Support newsletters, website updates, and public communication
Coordinate events, workshops, and community engagements
Smooth, welcoming hiring and onboarding
A consistent, mission‑driven public presence
Well‑run events and community engagements
Clear, timely communication
Systems that get easier and more predictable over time

1–3 years in HR, admin, operations, marketing, or coordination preferred
Experience in nonprofits, community orgs, or small businesses is a plus
Transferable skills are welcome
On‑site at Thrive’s Philadelphia location
Office‑based with occasional community events
Hands‑on, mission‑driven, and team‑focused
This role begins with a short paid trial period: 6–12 weeks at 20 hours per week, $18–$22/hour, depending on experience. Expectations are clear, and progress is reviewed regularly.
Top performers transition into a salaried position with increased hours and growing responsibility. Final salary is determined based on performance, role scope, and organizational needs at that time.
